Thank you to everyone that made our Walk for Water 2024 a huge success, whether you donated, participated or spread the word! Over the week we proudly saw lots of people and teams out ‘walking in someone else’s shoes’ right across our service area. 🚶♀️ A symbolic effort led by our Managing Director and Water Leader, Lara Olsen FTSE GAICD, of the daily treks millions must make for water every single day . 💧 Together, we raised 💰 $6,721 and a whole heap of awareness to help make clean drinking water and sanitation a reality for all. Excited to announce that HydroTrak® Geofencing project is a finalist for the R&D Excellence Award at the Australian Water Association VIC Water Awards! With over 60,000 fire hydrants in our network, accurately detecting and billing for use has been a common problem, leading to significant non-revenue water loss. 🗺 Our innovative HydroTrak® Geofencing technology leverages GPS and GIS data to detect water carter fills in real-time, ensuring accurate billing and maintaining water quality. 🚚 With over 315 vehicles now connected to the system, we’ve seen a 39% increase in water carter revenue, recovering 65 megalitres of previously non-revenue water! We're excited about the potential to scale this technology across the industry, enabling greater ability to track every drop of water used.

4,000,000,000 litres (4,000 megalitres) of Class A recycled water coming soon to Cardinia Shire local farms just like Umet’s, every year! 🔜🟣💧 Yesterday we joined Senator Raff Ciccone, Victorian Government Minister for Water, the Hon. Harriet Shing MP, Member for Bass Jordan Crugnale MP and Member for Pakenham Emma Vulin MP, to welcome a $46.6 million funding boost from the Australian Government’s National Water Grid Authority. The $113 million Western Port Recycled Water Scheme will make sure there’s a reliable water supply for irrigation, even during drier periods, and save drinking water for drinking across Pakenham South, Cora Lynn, Vervale, Catani, Iona, Garfield, Tynong and Bayles. Stage 1 will see a new pump station and 49 km of pipeline constructed from our Pakenham Water Recycling Plant, delivering high quality recycled water across the region. We’re proud to be working together with the Australian and Victorian governments to help secure a climate resilient water supply for the future. 8.9 million litres more wastewater storage coming soon to our Boneo Water Recycling Plant! 💩💧 This new emergency storage lagoon will improve plant reliability and reduce the impact of extreme wet weather events driven by climate change. It will also ensure the Mornington Peninsula can continue to count on our safe and reliable wastewater services for generations to come. Construction is due for completion in January 2025 and is the final part of a major upgrade to the plant.

Some of our brave employees took the plunge on a chilly Melbourne morning to kickstart their WaterAid Australia Walk for Water week! Raising awareness and funds for the 703 million people worldwide who still don't have safe water close to home. Here in Victoria, we're fortunate to have access to safe, clean drinking water at home, work and in public places. 💧 But in many communities around the world, every day children and young girls trek long distances to collect water. 🚶♀️ Often sacrificing their education in the process. 🏊♀️ Walk, run, ride or even swim with us this week! 💧 Donate or join Team South East Water: https://lnkd.in/g5SsWZSa

Carlisle St Sewer Upgrade: Complete ✅ This part of St Kilda recently had its old 525mm and 600mm diameter brick sewer, built in 1896-1990, trenchlessly relined with tough Ribloc Expanda. Despite technical challenges like… 🚋 Working under tram lines 🚗 Operating in a high traffic area 💩 High volume sewer flows Our skilled Delivery Partners completed the project efficiently with minimal disruption to the local community and businesses. Thanks to everyone involved with our delivery partner BFHI JV (Beca, Fulton Hogan, Interflow) for making this critical upgrade a success!

Ask R U OK? any day. 💛   We stepped away from our workspaces across 4 of our sites to come together and ask just that. This simple question was a chance to connect 🤝 and emphasised the importance of a good old fashioned chat.   Keep the movement going all year and regularly check in with each other. Whether it's with a colleague, family member or friend, a conversation can change a life. 💬 We hope through events like this we can create a safe environment where workplaces conversations are normalised and everyone feels comfortable reaching out, with support available when needed.   A special thank you to all our Mental Health First Aiders for their invaluable support.
