Strengthening Space Ties Between Australia and Japan: A Visit to HOKKAIDO SPACEPORT - HOSPO On behalf of Space Centre Australia, it has been an incredible opportunity to visit HOKKAIDO SPACEPORT - HOSPO and engage in meaningful discussions on collaboration between Australia and Japan’s space industries. Both HOSPO and Space Centre Australia are proud members of the newly formed International Spaceport Collaboration MOU, bringing together leading spaceports to foster global partnerships, knowledge exchange, and industry growth. The visit highlighted the strong synergies between our two nations in developing commercial launch capabilities, supporting next-generation space technologies, and enhancing regional access to space. From technical cooperation to business development opportunities, the discussions have laid the groundwork for a long-term, productive relationship. A heartfelt thank you to our colleagues at HOSPO for their warm hospitality and forward-thinking approach. This week, our CEO had the pleasure of visiting Kluthuthu Christian College in Napranum, Cape York — a school that has grown into a vibrant hub for learning and community spirit. Just 12 months ago, we proudly donated furniture, school supplies, and books to support the college as it opened its doors to serve the local community. Witnessing the remarkable progress and transformation of the school has been truly uplifting. During the visit, our CEO engaged with the enthusiastic students, sharing insights about Space Centre Australia and the future opportunities that innovation and space exploration can bring to the region. Their curiosity and passion reinforced our commitment to empowering local communities through education and cutting-edge technology. At Space Centre Australia, we believe in investing in the future by supporting initiatives that enrich lives and inspire the next generation.
