🌱 Happy Earth Day! 🌍 Today, we focus on the future—through the lens of our cameras and the potential of our seedlings. These tiny sprouts symbolise hope and renewal, destined to grow into mighty trees and shrubs that will nurture and sustain our environment. Each snapshot captures the early stages of growth as we gear up for the 2024 planting season. This winter, each seedling we plant will contribute to combating climate change by cleaning the air, storing carbon, and providing habitats for wildlife. Join us in making a tangible impact. Could not stop nodding at everything that was spoken about and the many shared experiences between us all. Wonderful privilege to share insights at the 4th SportNXT conference and meet so many inspiring leaders from across the world. Most of all, a privilege to share the platform with these inspiring women.
Tracey Holmes introduces the "I See You" panel by posing the question “What is the one thing we never talk about but should?” Dame Valerie Adams DNZM “nobody talks about the backlash and expectations of being a role model.” Azmeena Hussain OAM states: “We always look at diversity from a nice-to-have perspective but the reality is that diversity should sit in core business. We need to understand what diversity means from building a brand and building a fan base.” Tanya Hosch: “People often say that sport and politics should never meet, however status, power, and class are very present in the construct of sport, and I feel strongly about addressing issues of class as part of the diverse mix we’re looking for, particularly in decision-making roles.” The panel delved into the need, development, nurturing and exposure of role models in support of sport’s commitment to diversity, on and off the pitch.

Fantastic few days at SportNXT in Melbourne this week! We -at Sportian together with Alvaro Diaz Aguirre and George Gregan- engaged on many discussions with great people and organizations that are participating and shaping the Sports & Entertainment industry. Many interesting sessions regarding the future of the Industry, including topics like fan engagement, diversity in sports, reinvention of fan experiences, the media rights landscape shifts, the evolution of in-stadium fan experience, and the participation of leading organizations like FIFA, NBA, ESPN/Disney, LA 2028 Olympic games, Brisbane 2032, Tennis Australia, Cricket Australia, AFL, Football Australia, F1, Basketball Australia, and many more. We also had the opportunity to visit the fantastic Marvel Stadium and discuss how Technology is helping reinvent the fan experience, drive attendance and fandom, and also create new business opportunities as well. Many thanks to Global Victoria for organizing such a great event. Thanks Dominic O'Brien, Gönül Serbest and team for your hospitality!

It was great to be in Melbourne (Naarm) this week for SportNXT to highlight how we can proactively shape the future of sport in Australia. I enjoyed sharing Brisbane 2032’s progress and what lies ahead with the #SportNXT attendees. With #Paris24 in our focus and #LA28 on the horizon, it’s time for us all to get behind the #Brisbane2032 Games so we can collaborate and deliver a Games to be proud of.

Today, SportNXT had the pleasure of hosting two fantastic groups for some iconic sports infrastructure visits in and around Melbourne First, one group delved into the world of soccer at the Home of the Matildas, a world-class precinct built to support the aspirations of the CommBank Matildas. While our second group explored Marvel Stadium and it’s new upgrades nestled in the heart of Melbourne’s CBD. To top it off, our Global Victoria Trade Delegation enjoyed an exclusive presentation by AGPC EGM Dale Nardella. Both groups then got trackside and experienced the Australian Grand Prix to see how the premier international event comes together!
