Teaching first aid, particularly the life-saving skill of using an EpiPen or Anapen, is something I’m deeply passionate about. It’s not just about sharing information—it’s about empowering parents and caregivers with the confidence to act in critical moments. This photo serves as a powerful reminder of the lives we’re striving to protect. As a first aid trainer, my mission is to foster a sense of shared responsibility for safety within the community, encouraging everyone to look out for one another. This isn’t just my job—it’s a purpose-driven commitment to creating a safer, more resilient world, one EpiPen demonstration at a time. 💙

No, this is not allowable. The training and assessment guidelines for CPR are clear: adult CPR must be performed on the floor. This requirement is crucial because it simulates real-life conditions where CPR would most often be needed. Performing CPR on the floor allows candidates to use the proper technique, body positioning, and leverage to deliver effective compressions, which are vital for circulating blood during cardiac arrest. Demonstrating CPR on a table may hinder the ability to apply the necessary pressure and could lead to incorrect performance, which is why the assessment must adhere to the standard of performing CPR on the floor. Children aged 0-4 years were at the highest risk, with swimming pool incidents being the most common location. This underscores the importance of water safety awareness and first aid readiness, especially during the busy Christmas and New Year period when many people spend time near water. Stay safe this holiday season and always keep a watchful eye on children around water. 💦
