No, this is not allowable. The training and assessment guidelines for CPR are clear: adult CPR must be performed on the floor. This requirement is crucial because it simulates real-life conditions where CPR would most often be needed. Performing CPR on the floor allows candidates to use the proper technique, body positioning, and leverage to deliver effective compressions, which are vital for circulating blood during cardiac arrest. Demonstrating CPR on a table may hinder the ability to apply the necessary pressure and could lead to incorrect performance, which is why the assessment must adhere to the standard of performing CPR on the floor. Quick action is vital to help save a life. While only about 50% of Sudden cardiac arrest victims initially require defibrillation, all will require cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) to keep oxygenated blood moving to the brain and other vital organs. If you perform CPR and use an automated external defibrillator (AED) within minutes, you can significantly increase a person’s chance of survival.

❤️ Cardiac arrest is when the heart doesn’t beat properly because of an electrical malfunction in the heart. The signs of cardiac arrest, as listed by Heart.org, are: 💔 a sudden loss of responsiveness 💔 no normal breathing If you think someone is experiencing cardiac arrest and want to help, check for a response and call 911. If you have first aid and CPR training, heart.org lists further steps to take, including using an AED as soon as one can be obtained and administering CPR.

Did you know the survival rate for a cardiac arrest is around 10-12% in many countries? However, immediate bystander CPR can double or triple the chances of survival. Early CPR combined with defibrillation (using an Automated External Defibrillator or AED) within the first few minutes can significantly improve survival rates, sometimes up to 40-60% for shockable rhythms. CPR is a vital skill that can save lives, but it must be performed correctly to maximize benefits and minimize risks. The risks of not performing CPR, particularly in cardiac arrest cases, far outweigh the potential complications of CPR. Great job to our team for taking the time to learn this valuable life saving skills. #safetyfirst #CPR #AED #savelives

Did you know that the LifePak CR2 uses CprCOACH feedback technology, providing CPR coaching on technique and correct depth for both adult and child patients during cardiac arrest? In addition, the CR2 uses ClearVoice technology, which changes its volume in reaction to the volume of the environment, so if the environment noise increases, so does the CR2s volume. Check out the LifePak CR2 today https://lnkd.in/eKfPMs9Z

Do you know where your local defibrillator is? It's so important to act immediately if someone is in cardiac arrest. For every minute that they don’t receive CPR and have a defibrillator used on them, their chance of survival decreases by 10%. Public-access defibrillators are designed to be used by the public. Find out where your nearest defibrillator is now by clicking the link below. https://lnkd.in/evXXWJci

Did you know that only 20% of Americans are trained in CPR? Bystander CPR rates during a cardiac emergency are directly tied to CPR training. Higher training rates means higher bystander CPR rates. Currently only about 40% of people who experience sudden cardiac arrest receive bystander CPR! Get trained in CPR and be prepared for a cardiac emergency. https://lnkd.in/eKQ4FzhS
