It seems we can expect another round of legislative changes very soon... These changes appear targeted at increasing the powers of the NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commission. Including raising the maximum financial penalty for providers to $15m if a participant is harmed in their care. And giving the Commission the power to refer providers for criminal prosecution. Pricing update ‼ The NDIA has today announced that under certain conditions, providers will now be able to claim Intensive and Complex Behaviour Supports at the same price as High Intensity Supports. The NDIA says this addresses concerns that arose when the phrase “complex behaviour” was removed from the Pricing Arrangements and Price Limits. Providers providing these supports can claim the higher rate: 🔸 Assistance with Daily Life Tasks in a Group or Shared Living Arrangement 🔸 Daily Personal Activities 🔸 Participation in Community, Social and Civic Activities 🔸 Group and Centre Based Activities If they: 🔷 Provide behaviour support in line with a behaviour support plan 🔷 Are registered and assessed for Module 2A by 30 June 2025 or apply for registration for 2A and are audited by 30 June 2025 Read more: https://lnkd.in/dwHdnzzv
