We've had the pleasure of working with CCED, Oman, over the last four years, updating their 11,000 ㎢ legacy library with full waveform inversion and reverse time migration. We are now processing and imaging data from a three-year, high-density acquisition campaign — one that has generated an impressive 16 million traces per square kilometre! We were delighted to host the executive management team from Oman at our Houston offices to review our seismic processing and imaging results and provide a tour of our award-winning data centre. We look forward to continuing our valued partnership with CCED.

We’re proud to be a sponsor of this year’s Premier’s Science Awards, recognising and celebrating the outstanding scientific research and engagement taking place in Western Australia. A huge congratulations to all the winners — it was a fantastic evening and we are truly honoured to have the opportunity to celebrate the breadth and depth of Western Australian science and innovation. It was an honour to present the Aboriginal STEM Student of the Year award to Brodie O’Breza from Curtin University. Brodie is a proud Torres Strait Islander from Saibai Island, studying towards a Bachelor of Science in Coastal and Marine Science and Environmental Management. She has achieved academic excellence at Curtin University, receiving multiple scholarships supporting and encouraging her studies. This year saw the announcement of joint winners for the 2024 Scientist of the Year award — John Curtin Distinguished Professor Sharon Parker from Curtin University, and Professor Markus Schlaich from The University of Western Australia, Royal Perth Hospital and RPH Research Foundation. Professor Parker led a landmark study into mental health and workplace culture in the Western Australian mining industry, and advises health, aged and disability care organisations. Professor Schlaich's translational clinical research has resulted in recent regulatory approval of several novel blood pressure-lowering therapies, including a new drug class and a revolutionary interventional approach to treat hypertension.
