Relating overhead infrastructure and track Train and tram networks have a codependent relationship between the rail and electrified overhead infrastructure, changes to one can manifest with symptoms in the other. In this example, Telemattica's condition monitoring technology pinpoints the excessive stagger event from an in-service locomotive. It is however, the detailed analysis and corroboration of data that enables us to identify the cause of this fault; gradual and consistent movement of in the tracks. We will again be exhibiting at InnoTrans in Berlin 🇩🇪 at Stand 900, Hall 6.2. We look forward to hosting you and talking all things 🚉 condition monitoring 📈. #InnoTrans #railinfrastructure #conditionmonitoring #PCDS #

About us
Telemattica are the leading overhead wiring condition monitoring. With an IoT driven philosophy and by providing solutions with real-time network visibility, we ensure our client's are always connected to their data. Telemattica's Pantograph Collision Detection System (PCDS) is a unique and specialised technology that allows rail operators worldwide to reduce expenditure, improve safety, provide better services to build great reputations. Through capturing acceleration data from the pantograph head and video footage of network defects, the PCDS provides real-time feedback with precise GPS location to the client. Issues are captured, identified and remediated before they result in catastrophic dewirements. Telemattica take the complexity out of condition monitoring to create better rail networks.

🎉 Congratulations 👏 to our 🇧🇷 partner Austros Rail along with clients at Grupo CCR and CPTM - Companhia Paulista de Trens Metropolitanos for the ongoing success of the #PCDS in São Paulo! Over the past 6-months, the team at CCR have made more than 20 critical early interventions to their rail overhead wire network from data acquired by the PCDS. CCR's success is a combination of their commitment to improve, the ongoing support of Austros and an effective technology capable of delivering industry leading and actionable condition monitoring data. We are proud to work with Austros to deliver great value and service to our Brazilian clients. #railconditionmonitoring #IoT #railmaintenance #railtechnology
Juntos, estamos transformando a mobilidade urbana! Veja a notícia na íntegra: https://lnkd.in/dcs5Hvdw #Inovação #MobilidadeUrbana #Tecnologia #CCR #CPTM #Austros

Telemattica are excited to announce our partnership with Southeastern Pennsylvania Transportation Authority (SEPTA) in Pennsylvania! SEPTA operate one of the United States' largest and oldest commuter railways, providing over 58,000 journeys every day. With electrification dating back to 1915, the greater Philadelphia and Pennsylvania rail networks have remained committed to providing reliable, advanced and frequent service. After the second world war when many electrified rail networks were threatened by the rise of the motor car, Pennsylvania remained committed to the long term growth and capability of their electrified rail system. Today, SEPTA operate much of Pennsylvania's electrified rail and continue to build on the rich history of innovation, advanced technology and first class service. Telemattica are proud to partner with SEPTA to continuously improve the performance and operation of the rail overhead wire network through the #PCDS. #newtechnology #railhistory #railtechnology #conditionmonitoring

We would like to thank 77 Partners for spearheading our recent fundraising efforts and setting the stage for an exciting 2024! As we bid farewell to 2023, we're thrilled to share that our vision for transforming the world's railways is gaining momentum. In the coming year, brace yourselves for a wave of innovation as we introduce a range of ground breaking infrastructure monitoring products. Our global customer base is expanding rapidly, and we're gearing up to redefine the industry landscape. 🌟 Here's to an exhilarating year ahead! 🌟 Watch this space! 🔍🚆 🚀 #rail #iot #growth #futureofrail
We are excited to wrap up 2023 by announcing our latest lead investment in #Rail #IoT venture, Telemattica. Telemattica is a market leader in overhead wiring condition monitoring, enabling rail operators to visualise networks, pinpoint a range of defects, and reduce the risk of major failures including line tear downs and transit outages. The system has already been deployed in rail networks around the world. Rather than rely on infrequent, inefficient and incomplete manual inspections of the overhead wiring network, rail operators can leverage Telmattica’s IoT solution to continuously perform precise and complete inspections. This enables automated maintenance through real time data collection, analysis and system integration. As an investor in high growth ventures, 77 Partners looks for #founders and #frontiertech that can transform industries, and Telemattica is already doing just that as it leads a new generation of technology for rail transportation safety, efficiency, and reliability. https://lnkd.in/g_69_8u4 Australian Trade and Investment Commission (Austrade), AusIndustry

There are many terms within the rail industry that are used to describe the situation where the wires above electrified⚡ trains🚊 fail. These may include but are not limited to: ◾ "a dewirement" ◾ "OHW (overhead wire) tear-down" ◾ "OLE (overhead line electrification) failure" ◾ "an entanglement" ◾ "a power failure" ◾ "a loss of overhead power" Irrespective of their description, the majority are preventable and provide early indications of their impending failure. The challenge is having the right tools 🔧 to diagnose 📉 these failure conditions. So often the major overhead wire failures are preventable yet the infrastructure maintainers simply do not have access to the right technology to make an accurate and effective diagnosis. The good news is that the rail industry is experiencing significant development and adoption of new "on-board" condition monitoring technologies - systems that monitor the health and function of assets from regular passenger and freight vehicles. Since the start of this decade, the avaliability of an ever-improving global cellular network 📶, compact electronics 📱 and a shift in asset management 💡 perception is leading to the rise of on-board condition monitoring tools in rail. Telemattica's #PCDS is just one example that demonstrates how effective on-board condition monitoring is for early diagnoses of rail overhead wire asset degredation. We are proud of the work we do for our clients and look forward to the increasing integration of tools and technology that make a more reliable, cost effective and safe rail industry! #railtechnology #iotdevices #conditionmonitoring #train #tram #lrv
