We’re excited to be partnering Cowater International and Social Development Direct on the Southeast Asia Gender-Based Violence (GBV) Prevention Platform (2024-2029), an innovative new multi-year initiative aimed at transforming GBV prevention in the region, supported by the Australian Government. Here’s a little more about the platform and its innovative approach: ✅ Local Leadership, Regional Change: The Platform establishes a regionally-led Secretariat to improve and accelerate coordination, evidence and action in GBV prevention across Southeast Asia. ✅ Collaboration in Action: The Platform unites civil society, WROs, NGOs, governments, regional and multilateral bodies and donors to coordinate GBV prevention efforts across Southeast Asia. ✅ Evidence in Action: The Platform strengthens prevention expertise and capacity, builds and shares local evidence in GBV prevention, and advocates shared priorities, accompanied by focused organisational, technical and communications support. ✅ Values in Action: We operate on shared values, prioritising locally-led, diverse, inclusive, survivor-centred and trauma-informed approaches, and innovation in all our efforts to prevent gender-based violence.
