Curious about what happens during a Markedly workshop? 🤔✍️ We had the pleasure of hosting a Storytelling Workshop at the Deicke Richards studio recently, and the results were powerful for the team. The aim of this session was to help them learn how to discover the essence of their projects so they can effectively communicate the story of their projects. (Because let's be honest, communicating the facts alone can be a bit boring 😴) After a rundown of why we use storytelling as an effective communication tool, we divided the team into pairs where they asked each other prompts to uncover the ideas behind their project, then they presented their story to the team (in a very supportive and encouraging environment 💛). The results? The team gained insights into: ✍️ Effective questions to ask themselves, their clients, and stakeholders to uncover the narrative ✍️ Techniques for actively listening and identifying crucial story elements ✍️ A structured framework for crafting their story ✍️ Strategies to overcome writer's block and perfectionism ✍️ The significance of storytelling within architecture We're so proud of the Deicke Richards team and everything they accomplished in this two-hour session! There's a quote from John Maxwell that says, “You never really know something until you teach it to someone else”, and I couldn't agree more. Creating the Content Curator Program has been one of the hardest things I've done in my career so far. I've had to take a career's worth of knowledge and condense it in a way that's easy to understand and simple to apply in the real world. All for people who aren't as excited by marketing as I am 😅 But catching up with the participants last week for a group coaching call halfway through the course was the real 'A-Ha' moment for me. It was a safe space where they could ask questions and share their challenges and wins along the way. It was a real 'pinch me' moment where the course I had dreamed about doing was actually happening in real life, and helping people just like I had envisaged. All this is not to congratulate myself, but more so to take a moment to share that feeling of achieving something I had set out to do (and also acknowledge how much I use my hands when I speak 😂)

We refreshed the site with: 💥 a lighter colour palette 💥 large format imagery 💥 simplified navigation 💥 video content embedded throughout 💥 useful content to guide process + FAQs 💥 links to their media features 💥 a map to show where they work throughout Australia The result is a streamlined design that prioritises imagery and videography within a responsive layout to elevate the Shaun Lockyer Architects brand.
