    Sharing stories aren't just what we do for our clients, it's what we do as a business as well. Last month, I had the opportunity to travel down to Wollongong and present my story to social entrepreneurship to @iAccelerate.  It's not often that you reflect back on all the steps that brought you to where you are. But it was an incredibly rewarding experience. From the businesses I watched my parents run, to the experiences I had in corporate advertising, all these adventures have led me to where I am today.  The day also included 1:1 consultations with the students about both running a social enterprise and marketing it.  This is my favourite part of the business - sharing everything I've gone through and all that I know with others who are making their own difference. #SocialEnterprise #FounderStories  [image description: Tiff sits in the middle of a semi-circle of iAccelerate students in a discussion]

    Thank you to the Centre for Social Impact for having me today to speak to their post-grad social entrepreneurship students at UNSW. I got to share how to craft a marketing strategy around your impact story, getting cut through as a low-resource social enterprise and tips for infusing social impact into every post. This is the most rewarding part of building The Social Story - that we can curate best in class strategies for impact storytelling on social media and share that knowledge with others. #SocialMediaForSocialGood

    The most important thing about impact storytelling is integrity. Just slapping a rainbow logo doesn't show a commitment to a cause - it's the actions you take to progress the cause forward that matters. This month, we were approached by our clients Rebel Sport about how we could create authentic content around #PrideMonth. It was an honour to be able to help them craft a meaningful message that would make sense for their brand and properly support the LGBTQI+ community. How did we do this? - We consulted with Zoé Kennedy from Spark and Co to hear from their lived experiences and the stories they'd want to hear - We worked directly from Pride Cup to see what would make a difference to them - We celebrated the stories of people with lived experiences - including athletes Caitlin Bunker and Andy Brennan - We ensured that their stories were in their own voice and they had ownership over our edit - We gave recommendations of other ways the business could step up in LGBTQ+ inclusion - We brought these values into our ongoing strategy so that they didn't just end at Pride Month That's what it means to work with a purpose-driven brand. We are embedded in the culture of change and can help guide you through these moments for your brand.     Pride isn't just something that we celebrate each month. Inclusion forms the bedrock of what we do at The Social Story. Through our partnership with Pride by Side, we delivered a workshop for recipients of the Amplify Pride Fund. These organisations are doing vital work to protect and uplift the LGBTQI+ community. And we are always excited to share our knowledge and expertise. In the session, we shared our top tips for fostering relationships with their community, finding efficiencies and how to maximise their storytelling to showcase the incredible work that they do.     One of our favourite collaborations is with Pride by Side, a network dedicated to building the capacity of LGBTIQ+ initiatives. With them, we've been able to mentor and consult with incredible organisations that support the LGBTIQ+ community around the world. These organisations are already doing crucial work in their community and oftentimes, marketing is the last thing on their mind. On the flip side, marketing is always on our mind at The Social Story. So when we are able to share our expertise and passions with them, that hits to the core of why we exist as a social enterprise. When you work with The Social Story, you are allowing us to continue with such initiatives and spread our impact further. That's what it means to entrust your socials to a purpose-driven business.
