Thank you to everyone that attended last week's SESA and HF Community of Practice discussion of Reliability, Availability and Maintainability (RAM) and its relationship to safety. Kudos to our speakers Trent Dennis, Rita Coelho and Florian MASSOL who stimulated a great interesting discussion of what is sometimes considered a dry technical topic 🤔 Details of our next Community of Practice session soon 👀

We're excited for the future transport programs being delivered and look forward to having an active involvement. #simplifyingcomplexity #inmotion
I had a great day at the InMotion event hosted by Transport for NSW, discussing the infrastructure pipeline. I enjoyed catching up with old colleagues and making new connections. #thinksystems #simplifyingcomplexity #infrastructure #inmotion #systemsthinking

🤨 Travel blog or work trip? 🤨 John Slowey, Think Systems Principal, recently returned from Dublin where he presented at the INCOSE International Symposium. He also managed to sneak in some trips to the country side, a Guinness or two, and (almost) braved a swim in the sea 🏖 Think Systems are immensely proud of John for representing the team at such a prestigious global event 🌎 We are even more proud that John was able to take time on either side of the conference to catch up with friends, family, and enjoy a well-deserved break in Irish Summer. To hear more about John's presentation topic from the INCOSE International Sympomsium, join us at our next Community of Practice on 15th August 🗓

🛤 It has been an absolute pleasure supporting the Sydney Metro South West team in the integration and assurance of this technology, for the very first time in Australia 📣 Well done to Hyundai Movex and the team from MTR Corporation (Australia) #RailInnovation #SydneyMetro #InfrastructureProjects #SimplifyingComplexity #ThinkSystems
Marrickville, Dulwich Hill, Hurlstone Park, Canterbury and Campsie are the first stations on the T3 Bankstown Line to be fitted with mechanical gap fillers (MGFs), ready to be used when the first metro trains hit these stations. This is the first time MGF technology has ever been used in Australia, which works by automatically extending the gap filler from the platform to the train before the platform screen doors open, allowing safe and easy access for all customers. Tunnel boring machines (TBMs) Daphne and Beatrice are continuing on their journey to build 11-kilometres of twin metro rail tunnels between The Bays and Sydney Olympic Park, as part of the Sydney Metro West project. Both mega machines relaunched from the Burwood North Station box, ready to make the 1.8 kilometres to their next destination at the North Strathfield metro station site. The machines spent 3.5 weeks traversing the 194-metre-long station box and the 145-metre long-crossover cavern after breaking through at Burwood North in April. Keep track of these machines with our TBM tracker: https://lnkd.in/gBvngsEz
