🎉 Celebration time! 🎉 Today was our final session of our Redesigning social Programs course. An exciting but also a sad day as we farewell our participants. This is Kathy Kirby- Director at Thrive Aged Care Consultants and Kate Lamont - Director at Thrive Aged Care favourite session because we get to hear from the participants about the change idea they implemented during the 12 week program of education and mentoring. Congratulations to everyone who presented today on how they turned some amazing ideas into action. Simple changes resulting in improved engagement in garden programs, a focus on food resulting in improved outcomes and building meaningful community connections just to name a few wins. Today was our final education session that we facilitated for an organisation's food services team. The session covered WHY the mealtime experience is important and HOW they in their role, could introduce small improvements to have a big impact for the people receiving care. As always, we included lots of practical tips that the participants could take away and implement straight after the session. Thanks again to the organisation for reaching out and supporting over 100 of their team members to receive this education. Practical skills that can be used immediately. The objective of education should not be to tick a box to say we have provided what is 'required.' Before you book your next education session, take a second to pause and answer these three questions: 👉 WHY are we providing this training? 👉 What are we trying to ACHIEVE with this training? 👉 What do I want my teams to be able to do AFTER the training?
