Tom shared insights on Australia’s historic aged care reforms and led a panel session on AI's transformative potential in healthcare. It was a whirlwind week of impactful discussions, preceding our own ACCPA National Conference, where Tom’s presentations inspired many among the 2,400+ attendees. That's a wrap! Our CEO, Tom Symondson, delivered a fantastic summary of what has been an unforgettable three-day conference. With over 90 sessions packed with insights, discussions, and innovations, there was plenty to learn, explore, and take back to our communities. The engagement was incredible - thank you to our audience for asking thoughtful questions and driving impactful conversations. This year we introduced a spotlight on retirement living and seniors housing, bringing new perspectives to the forefront. A huge thank you to our exhibitors, sponsors, and to the 70+ ACCPA team members who attended and supported the event. And a very special shoutout to our ACCPA Events Team of just four members who delivered our most successful conference yet! On day three of our national conference, we’re shining a strategic spotlight on Retirement Living and Seniors Housing. With opening from ACCPA's Director Retirement Living & Seniors Housing, Mark Prosser and CEO Tom Symondson kicking off the session. Chris Baynes, CEO, DCM Group spoke on State of the Nation. We then heard from a canadian perspective on senior housing and home care from Cathy Hecimovich, CEO, Ontario Retirement Communities Association. The morning also saw Senator the Hon Anne Ruston speak about the oppositions vision for aged care. The first panel session on the day saw aged care leaders discuss how providers an prepare for the new Aged Care Act. We also heard from Aged Care Quality and Safety Commissioner on how they can work together with providers to shape better care. The next panel session experts discussed the Act's importance, emphasising why a rights-based Act is critical. It was also highlighted that whilst the Act is crucial, it is only the beginning of broader reform efforts. #ACCPANC24 #AgeofExcellence #AgedCare
