About us
Tour de Cure raises vital funds to support the researchers, surgeons and clinicians who dedicate their lives to finding a cure for cancer. Through our magical, challenging and inspirational events we raise money to fund the boldest research, the most talented scientists and the ground-breaking projects that we believe will have the biggest impact on cancer. From humble beginnings in 2007, the Tour de Cure community has grown to become a national movement of thousands of people, walking, running, riding and swimming to raise awareness and inspire support in the fight to cure cancer.

Today we are celebrating 10 years' service for Tour de Cure stalwart, Sally Heginbotham. Congrats Sally! Sally is one of the most well-known, and most loved , members of the TDC team. She has contributed significantly to so many aspects of Tour de Cure’s growth, including her role helping to produce the Channel 7 Tour de Cure Special, as well as assisting with live broadcast content on Sunrise. She rarely misses a Tour, expertly juggling duties as our Digital Content Manager, directing and driving media teams, filming reels and posting to social media on-the-go, cheering riders with gusto, dancing with support crew, and giving the best hugs! Sally has played a pivotal role in numerous facets of Tour de Cure’s growth – connecting people from our partnerships with event participants, researchers, supporters, volunteers, press and people in the towns that we pass through. Sally can often be found creating edits to share the TDC story, and she has grown the digital and social TDC community from almost nothing to a thriving community today, contributing hugely to fundraising over this time. Sal, you are one of a kind, and we love and appreciate you ❤️. Thank you for your passion and commitment to TDC over this past decade! #TDCFamily #ThankYou #10Years #CuringCancer #ChangingLives
