We've all seen the CityCats glide along the Brisbane River and we've delighted over the KittyKats, and today we'd like to introduce two very special newcomers – the CityDogs! To celebrate the imminent opening of Bluey's World, two of Brisbane’s CityCats have been transformed into CityDogs, wrapped to resemble #Bluey and her little sister Bingo! Talk about turning an already incredible #event into a full experience, we can’t wait to see the delighted looks on fans’ faces as they cruise along Brisbane’s iconic river onboard a CityDog, travelling in style towards Bluey’s World at Northshore. Come and holiday in Queensland, for real life. #marketing #launch Brisbane Economic Development Agency BBC Studios Australia & New Zealand

Message from the CEO This afternoon I announced that I will be leaving Tourism and Events Queensland to take up an opportunity as the Acting Director General of Environment, Tourism, Science and Innovation (until permanent appointment can be made). I am really excited about progressing our tourism agenda in my new role, albeit in a different capacity. Andrew Powell has been sworn in as Minister for the Environment and Tourism, and Minister for Science and Innovation, to lead the new 20-year tourism plan, with a strong focus on maximising potential ecotourism opportunities for Queensland. I want to acknowledge my colleague Andrew Hopper for the work he has done in this space and look forward to working with the team on progressing this work into the future. I also want to congratulate Andrew on his new role as Director General of the Department of Sport, Racing and Olympic and Paralympic Games. I am incredibly grateful for the support I have been given from our industry, Board, led by Chair Grant Hunt A.M., and the entire team. Our time together has been invaluable and will stand me in good stead to take on this new role with the Queensland Government. We have made significant inroads with the launch and progress of the TEQ Blueprint, and I leave knowing the sector is in exceptionally good hands. I am confident the industry will continue driving and delivering exciting and important initiatives into the future and I look forward to progressing this journey together. Trish Patricia O'Callaghan

TEQ’s Board has been on the Sunshine Coast for their October meeting and last night they met with more than 100 industry representatives face-to-face for the latest updates from the coast. 🌴 🌞 It was also great to experience a literal taste of ‘Queensland’s Sunshine Pantry’ earlier yesterday, an incredible agri-tourism initiative. Today the board meets with Visit Sunshine Coast and Sunshine Coast Council, as well as conducting its official meeting. Thanks for having us, #Sunshine #Coast!

Howdy Queensland! 🤠👋 American Airlines launches its non-stop service from Dallas-Fort Worth to Brisbane. The new flight is set to bring thousands of additional tourists to Queensland and a huge boost to the visitor economy. Texas is the second-most populated state of America with around 30 million residents and American Airlines is the biggest #airline in the world by #passengers carried, so this #arrival couldn’t be more exciting for #Brisbane and more broadly #Queensland.
