A recent visit to Armidale NSW. We met someone from Armidale Regional Council. She said that she has been trying to implement a mental health initiative for a few years but couldn’t get momentum. A couple of blokes from the council bought TradeMutt shirts and hats last year and wore them to work. Instant #conversations and they were the champions in getting the whole council on board. We just rolled out TradeMutt shirts with the entire council. People have already reached out to TIACS 💪❤️ What a memorable trip. We are bloody proud of these blokes! #trademutt #mentalhhealth #workwear #impact

  • This story came through and we just had to share it with you. "Hi, just a quick story that happened today at Bunnings. I left my son who is only 8 with our trolley out the front of the tool shop while I ducked in to get something. A shopper who saw us walk in noticed my son and I had the same shirt on (which we do every day when he comes to work with me, I’m a mobile boilermaker which is his dream to be). Well, this lady came up to him and asked about our shirts saying they look great and very colourful. He then went on to tell her about TradeMutt and all you do for the mental health for tradies. She then said to him that he is too young to know about such matters. I heard this as I was walking out. I stopped to hear his response, it was that if it wasn’t for TradeMutt his dad wouldn’t be here anymore and he is thankful for you guys. The poor lady didn’t know what to say or do. I just walked up to him gave him a hug and we left (with me nearly crying). The lady asked where to get shirts from as she reckons there needs to be more done for mental health. I am really proud of him for his honesty to her. Am so thankful for all your support for myself and my family. " #trademutt #funkyshirtfriday #tradies #mentalhealth

  • Did anyone else have an especially strong case of the Sunday scaries this week? Thankfully it's stories like this that remind us why we do what we do 🥹 “The best received gift this Christmas. Look I’ve donated to good causes instead of Christmas gifts in the past. I once bought my tradie sons a goat for a remote village somewhere we’ll never go. They don’t complain though there’s been a bit of eye rolling. Continuing with a theme of buying mindfully, TradeMutt caught my attention on social media. I knew I was on a winner and no further goat purchasing would happen when both men opened their shirts (Who Let The Frogs Out and No Wukkas) and voiced the, ‘Let’s start a conversation!’ motto. Tragically but also brilliant, we then as a group discussed the — would you believe it — seven deaths by suicide of tradesmen they have been closely touched by. My boilermaker sons employ up to 18 staff between them. They made plans to purchase TradeMutt gear for their ‘boys.’ Thanks for the good work of looking after the incredible & undervalued tradespeople like my sons who keep this country functioning.”

  • 12 DAYS OF IMPACT - DAY 11 - MUTTLEY This is Muttley the Mack Truck. A conversation over a beer set in train a sequence of events that resulted in one of the most spectacular trucks you’re ever likely to see on Australia’s roads. Edward Ross from TradeMutt showed Jason from Martins Stock Haulage the TradeMutt design catalogue and he loved the Razzle Dazzle print. From there a whole team was involved in getting the truck on the road Little did we know the day the truck was revealed how powerful and impactful Muttley would become, driving the long roads all over Australia, he now has his own "Spotto" Facebook group. “We want more people to reach out to us,” says Ed, “so this truck is a really exciting opportunity to change the narrative around mental health and get people talking as well as seeking early intervention counselling through our service.” Muttley has started conversations further and wider than we could have ever imagined. Keep your eyes peeled when you are on the road, he is pretty hard to miss! What massive piece of machinery should we wrap next? #12daysofimpact #tradies #mentalhealth #macktruck #muttley

  • 12 Days of Impact - Day 10 “I wish I knew about TradeMutt and TIACS sooner.” We hear this way too often. The stories of loss we hear every day are heartbreaking. Here are a few you can read for yourself. When you wear a TradeMutt shirt, this is the impact you’re having. If you wear a shirt in honour of someone, or to carry on a legacy, please know you are not alone. One day, every blue-collar worker in Australia will be in a TradeMutt shirt for Funky Shirt Friday. Until then, we’re not stopping. #12daysofimpact #tradies #trade #mentalhealth
