As we step into 2025, here are some highlights of the past year at Tripple. Thanks for following along - it has been a privilege to have you in our orbit for this lap around the sun, and we’ll continue to keep you updated here. 🚀  Investing to create a better future: At Tripple, we believe in the power of capital to drive positive change. In 2024 we were proud to support: Amboy Street Ventures, advancing women’s health Streetlife Ventures, working at the intersection of climate and cities Carbon Collective, a platform for sustainable retirement investing The second fund from our friends at ReGen Ventures A first-time fund with Superorganism We also partnered with Nightingale Housing to deliver more affordable homes and with ThroughLine to extend their free mental health and crisis support helplines to over 100 countries. 🔍  Deep dive grant rounds on housing and tax justice: With Australia’s housing crisis continuing to escalate, we ran a deep dive grant round in 2024 focused on Housing as a Right, funding organisations pushing for systemic reform. You can read more about the grant round and the recipients here: https://lnkd.in/gx3ibbcr. 🏠 Looking ahead, we’ve recently launched another deep dive grant round, in collaboration with the Reichstein Foundation, to support organisations advocating for a fair and equal tax system. ⚖️ 🎉  Sanders Place - A growing community: Sanders Place, our shared office space in Melbourne, celebrated its first anniversary in November 2024. Over the year, it has grown into a vibrant hub, hosting events by Sustainable Table, Impact Club, Grata Fund and celebrating the launch of Ecotone Partners' Planet Fund. We’re also thrilled that Sanders Place was recognised with the 2024 National Architecture Award for Commercial Architecture, celebrating the power of spaces that foster connection and collaboration. To everyone who has supported, collaborated with, or inspired us this past year—thank you. We couldn’t do what we do without you, and we’re so excited for what’s to come in 2025. A fair and balanced tax system is essential for reducing entrenched economic inequality, which is a major driver of political instability, human rights violations, and climate vulnerability. By ensuring resources are distributed more equitably, a fair tax system helps build a world where everyone has the opportunity to lead a good life. It can also ensure the government can fund vital services like health, education, and aged care—building a stronger, more equitable society for everyone. We are so chuffed to announce that Sanders Place has won the National Architecture Award for Commercial Architecture in 2024. Congrats to NMBW Architecture Studio, Finding Infinity and Openwork Pty Ltd who brought this vision to life and, as the judges said, "delivered a project full of moments of invention and surprise that also shows a path forward for net-zero, low-waste construction in the commercial sector." Thank you to architecture critic David Neustein and The Monthly for this write up of a Tripple project that we're quite proud of: Sanders Place. Sanders Place is an experiment - a place that is not home but feels is a bit like home, not an 'office' as we know it but is excellent for teams and productivity, and a space that was designed to support, connect and grow the community of impact businesses and organisations in Melbourne. The experiment has paid off and Sanders Place is sensationally beautiful, a best practise environmental retrofit and is home to a variety of brilliant people and companies. Sanders Place is also fast establishing itself as an asset and hub to the social and environmental impact community - a wider group whose work we believe it's critical to support through this kind of community infrastructure. As Ross Harding, the environmental consultant who led the project said: "in a time when people don’t want to spend much time in an office building, people want to be at Sanders Place". It is indeed a very special place. That’s why we’re undertaking a grant round focused on supporting the right to affordable, safe, and secure housing. Recognising that solving the housing crisis requires more than temporary fixes and that systemic change isn’t always linear or straightforward; Tripple is looking to support initiatives that drive long-term systemic change to transform housing in Australia to ensure affordable, safe and secure housing for all.
