Sandvik has completed the previously announced acquisition of Universal Field Robots (UFR), a fast-growing Australia-based provider of autonomous interoperable solutions for the surface mining and underground mining markets. UFR will be reported in Digital Mining Technologies, a division within business area Sandvik Mining and Rock Solutions. From humble beginnings of working out of Jeff Sterling's garage to being one of the fastest growing Australian robotics and automation companies in just 8 years. Over the last 8 years, the team at UFR has worked incredibly hard to be a serious player on the world stage. There have been months of hard work and dedication involved in bringing about this strategic acquisition. Our sincere gratitude to everyone involved.
