Last week, our Director, Alex Jenkins led a community workshop at Connect Victoria Park Inc, bringing together participants for a discussion on navigating technology and demystifying AI for older adults. The session focused on staying connected in a rapidly changing landscape, breaking down new digital tools and AI tools, and exploring what they mean for older adults. Through open conversations and practical examples, participants gained a clearer understanding of how these tools can support them - whether it’s keeping in touch with loved ones, accessing information, or feeling more confident using technology. Workshops like this remind us that learning never stops and that everyone should have the opportunity to explore new ways to stay engaged in a digital world. A big thank you to Connect Victoria for hosting and to everyone who joined in!

We loved being a part of the West Tech Assemblage 2025 event last week. WADSIH board member Tina Ambrose spoke alongside Mayors from around Perth to discuss the vital role that local governments and libraries play in fostering digital access and inclusion. Hosted by the City of Stirling (Western Australia), key takeaways from the event demonstrated how local governments are instrumental in bridging digital divides through small grants, partnerships, and in-person support. Conversations like these are so important and WADSIH was excited to be part of building a digitally inclusive future for everyone #WADSIH #DigitalInclusion #TechForGood #WestTech2025 #LocalGovernment #CommunitySupport #DigitalTransformation City of Swan City of Fremantle WA Local Government Association (WALGA) City of Gosnells City of Joondalup Anthony Vuleta
