We're excited to announce our involvement in the construction of the City of Whittlesea Community Hospital, located in Mernda, Victoria. Our valued client, Lendlease, will be utilising Washbox on-site to ensure an environmentally friendly and efficient construction process. The Victorian Government is investing over $800 million to build community hospitals in major growth areas, including the City of Whittlesea. This new hospital will provide essential everyday health services, such as chronic disease management, chemotherapy, and women’s health. By alleviating the pressure on nearby major hospitals like Northern Hospital Epping, the City of Whittlesea Community Hospital will enable residents to manage their health needs closer to home. Additionally, the hospital will have strong links to specialists, community health providers, and social support services, ensuring seamless follow-up treatment and support for those requiring complex care. Managed by Northern Health, this development represents a significant step forward in providing accessible and high-quality healthcare to the community. In his daily work, our founder Andrew Crimston saw firsthand the need for the construction industry to mitigate the effects of liquid waste from projects. Andrew launched Washbox, a system that uses recycled water for tool washing in the construction trades. The system captures solids in a filtration system for safe disposal while recycling the wash water for continual use. "Eliminating the use of temporary washout drums and slop sinks in building projects improves productivity, safety, and worksite conditions while also preventing environmental contamination," says Andrew.
