Take a look at the sleek finish on this new scheme right on our doorstep in Fleetwood using our industry-leading Centech PU waterproofing system.   We were delighted to be involved with this project for the The Boathouse Youth Charity, which works with children and young people from disadvantaged communities across Blackpool. This is the fourth youth centre that the charity has created and the first one outside Blackpool – it’s an amazing achievement Laurance Hancock 👏. Giving Week for #ReGrowIsrael continues and I want to share another example of destruction from #Kibbutz Alumim. At Kibbutz Alumim, 10 Nepali agricultural students were murdered in their living quarters, four others injured and one taken hostage in Gaza. Nine Thai workers were murdered, one injured and four taken hostage. 300,000 chickens were killed when two of their three coops were burned along with their control center. The irrigation and electricity system were destroyed, so irrigation could not be restored. This took time. There were no Israeli in the coops and fields during these attacks. So why? Why take the time to raise such destruction? Why murder so many Thai and Nepalese? It was a systematic and deliberate attack on the food security of Israel. Did you know that the West of England has just 7.8% woodland cover compared to a 13.2% average across the whole of the UK? 🌳 New woodlands play a vital role in absorbing carbon dioxide from the atmosphere. Beyond that, trees provide a whole host of incredible ecosystem services, including preventing nutrient loss and soil erosion, improving air and water quality, and reducing flood risk. Government analysis by the Environment Agency shows that our new planned woodland, the Lower Chew Forest, will help reduce downstream flooding in local villages, Keynsham, and Bristol. 🌧 We are so excited by the possibility of making the Lower Chew Forest a reality.
