Wattwatchers looks forward to continuing to support its current and hopefully new Retail customers to: - Optimise energy use - Reduce costs - Enhance environmental performance - AND achieve good NABERS outcomes!
Powering retail sustainability: NABERS launches Retail Stores energy ratings We’re excited to announce the launch of the new NABERS Energy tool for retail stores, helping businesses across Australia’s shopping centres, precincts, and high streets measure and improve their environmental performance. Assistant Minister for Climate Change and Energy, Josh Wilson, visited Officeworks in Sydney to mark the launch, meeting with Fiona Lawrie, Head of Corporate Affairs and Sustainability at Officeworks, along with members of the NABERS team. Together they discussed how the new NABERS tool will empower retailers to optimise energy use, reduce costs, and enhance environmental performance. With this tool, individual retailers can now achieve a 1 to 6-star rating, optimising energy use across lighting, ventilation, and air conditioning. The goal? Lower power bills, enhanced energy performance, and reduced emissions. “A NABERS rating will help retailers bring down power bills and get better energy performance in their stores, while enabling them to do their bit to lower emissions,” Assistant Minister for Climate Change and Energy, Josh Wilson said. With more than 5,000 buildings already benefitting from NABERS ratings across sectors like offices, data centres, and hotels, we’re excited to see how the retail sector takes up this opportunity to build a greener future. ➡️Read the media release from The Hon Josh Wilson MP: https://lnkd.in/gAnAfBge ➡️Learn more about how this rating can unlock energy savings and environmental credentials for retailers: https://lnkd.in/gWw9FVTa Department of Climate Change, Energy, the Environment and Water, James Elks, Monique Alfris, Suruchi Pathak

Wattwatchers - Digital Energy reposted this
We installed the 1st Wattwatchers - Digital Energy (6MW-CER) smart energy meter in Australia today. Using permanent and rental data loggers via our audit methodology, we are helping model energy efficiency, peak demand and network constraint solutions for this food processing site. Typically at a 1 minute interval, our time or use load profiles and asset schedules help give a granular understanding of site energy use. Our experience is that most of the value (80:20 rule) is delivered by detailed monitoring in the first 2-3 weeks, given it flags existing issues. This low cost data logger rental model and audit methodology captures this value, without the need for permanent smart metering installations if you are capital constrained (significant cost savings and quicker deployment = tangible value creation and actionable insights in days or weeks). Thank you to Queensland Farmers Federation for the support in this pilot, looking forward to sharing the results!

Version 2.1.0 of the MyEnergy app is now available on the Apple App Store and the Google Play Store. This latest release adds support for the ground breaking 6MW-CER and, in a first for us, uses machine learning on hot water circuits to alert customers about broken heating elements and hot water leaks. So proud of our award win last night at the IoT Impact conference. Best Energy Management award for our MEM (My Energy Marketplace) project. This was a project 7 years in the making and absolutely visionary for its time. A special thank you to our entire team who all worked on it over the course of the many years it took to execute.
