🎉 A proud moment for WesCEF 🎉 WesCEF’s Aboriginal Procurement Working Group has been awarded the Wesfarmers Reconciliation Supplier Diversity Champion Award 🌟 This award celebrates WesCEF's commitment to building relationships with Aboriginal suppliers and embedding reconciliation into our everyday work. With a team of 20 champions across WesCEF, the working group has driven sustainable partnerships with Aboriginal-owned businesses, growing our network to include 28 Aboriginal suppliers and creating meaningful, long-term partnerships in our communities. WesCEF’s Commercial Manager – Procurement Desmond Roche said: “It’s rewarding that the majority of our active Aboriginal suppliers are either local – within the Kwinana and Rockingham areas – or within a regional area in which our businesses operate.” “One highlight is our partnership with Boodjara, led by Noongar man Koen Matera. Through this collaboration, Boodjara has created 10 full-time roles supporting WesCEF’s work across Kwinana, demonstrating the power of what we can achieve together,” Desmond said. A huge thank you to all working group members and our Aboriginal suppliers for being part of this journey 🙏 Watch the video to discover more about the working group’s impact and how our partnership with Boodjara is making a difference. #RAP #Aboriginalprocurement #Diversity #Reconciliation

✨ And just like that ✨… we prepare to farewell one of our longest serving and most admired team members – who just happens to be Wesfarmers Chemicals, Energy & Fertilisers' esteemed Managing Director – Ian Hansen. After four decades with CSBP Fertilisers, CSBP and Wesfarmers Chemicals, Energy & Fertilisers, Ian finishes up as Managing Director on Thursday 31 October, leaving an impressive legacy in his wake. Having started at CSBP’s Country Works Albany as a chemistry graduate in 1983, Ian quickly established himself as a pragmatic, considered and well-respected leader within the business. He went on to head up Albany and Esperance Country Works in the late 1980s and early 1990s, respectively, before moving to Perth and into a business development role. In 1994, Ian was selected to lead the complex and growing sodium cyanide business, establishing a strong foothold for Australian Gold Reagents (AGR) in the global market. After a brief stint back near his roots in CSBP Fertilisers, Ian was appointed General Manager CSBP Chemicals in 2002. Never one to stand still, he refined and expanded our Chemicals operations and, when Chemicals & Fertilisers merged with Energy to form Wesfarmers Chemicals, Energy & Fertilisers division in 2010, he was appointed CEO Chemicals. In 2016, Ian went on to become our Managing Director. What Ian has achieved over four decades of tenure is impressive by any measure. He has been instrumental in the growth and success of WesCEF and become a deeply trusted and respected member of the Wesfarmers Leadership Team. Ian has set the standard for quality, integrity, authenticity and character across our businesses, as well as the industries in which we operate. His contribution has delivered an enduring legacy that cannot be underestimated. But, for Ian, we suspect what will be left behind is not as valuable as what lies ahead. Ian plans to spend plenty of time with his family in retirement and fulfil long-awaiting travel commitments. He will also continue to advise on key projects and remain Chairman of Covalent Lithium Pty Ltd. Ian, we wish you all the very best in retirement and thank you for your contribution and commitment to WesCEF. Because of you, we have strived harder, aimed higher and performed safer and better. Thank you!

It’s World Mental Health Day with the focus on mental health at work - a subject that's important to us. Today, we’re proud to shine the spotlight on CSBP Fertilisers Account Manager - Nutrition & Sales, Darrin Hills. Darrin has been a dedicated volunteer with Lifeline WA for 2.5 years, recently earning the joint Volunteer of the Year award. For Darrin, who splits his weeks between Perth and the Central Wheatbelt, it was personal experience and a conversation over coffee with a friend that led him to volunteer. “After going through a really bad time after my divorce I know what it’s like to feel isolated and lacking connections,” Darrin says. “I was looking to do some volunteer work...and I wanted to have an impact on people on a personal level and being a volunteer has given me that opportunity.” Darrin draws on his own mental health journey as part of the Lifeline WA Lived Experience Advisory Group and regularly donates his time to help out at a range of community engagement events throughout the year. He even found himself on the list of guest speakers at a Wheatbelt mental health and resilience event. “I’m always talking to my growers and farmers and letting them know it is absolutely okay to ask for help.” We’re incredibly proud of Darrin's impact both at work and in the community. If you or someone you know needs support, please reach out to Lifeline on 13 11 14. #MentalHealthWeek #BreakTheStigma #Regional #Community #inspiringemployees
