We are excited to have representatives from our global teams attend and present at COP29 in Baku, Azerbaijan starting next week with four Green Zone events and one Blue Zone event! This includes our local Associate Sustainera Solutions with Ilkin HAJI and team who have been working in collaboration with AzerSun Holding as an official sponsor of COP29 consulting on sustainability topics and events. Integral Consult Egypt with Amr Osama Abdel-Aziz also holds an official role in negotiations and advisor to the Minister of Environment of Egypt. Our other attendees/presenters include President of Inogen Alliance, Angelique Dickson and SVP with Antea Group USA; Hilton Lucio, CEO of ANTEA Brasil; Alex Ferguson CEO of Antea Group UK; Robert Szucs-Winkler, CEO of denxpert EHS&S software ; and Brett Ogilvie Executive Leader and Patrick Pringle with Tonkin + Taylor New Zealand. A few of our members were interviewed by Environment Analyst on their involvement in COP29 coming up in Azerbaijan; Amr Osama Abdel-Aziz with Integral Consult, and Ilkin HAJI with Sustainera Solutions. Watch for more news to come on our Inogen Alliance presence and presentations at COP29! COP29’s action agenda has 14 initiatives. Environment Analyst asked experts in the environmental and sustainability (E&S) consulting sector about their priorities and hopes for the event. Three themes emerged: climate finance, honest country-level assessments and clear guidance on carbon markets. "Amr Osama Abdel-Aziz, tells Environment Analyst he "would like to see an ambitious NCQG with a quantum that can meet the needs and priorities of developing countries and which includes sub-goals for mitigation, adaptation and loss and damage". Mr Abdel-Aziz, who advises Egypt’s minister of environment, also stresses that the way the finance is made available matters. He explains "the NCQG should be based on proper instruments" and avoid creating "new debt burdens" for recipients. Mr Abdel-Aziz will be directly involved in negotiations." "E&S consultants are helping countries stay on track. Ilkin Haji, tells Environment Analyst that their team has worked with the COP29 operating company to evaluate the sustainability maturity levels of various governmental entities and agencies, providing an in-depth examination of their current status and offering recommendations on better integration of sustainability into policymaking. The company has also been training COP29 volunteers and will be actively participating in panels at the event. Sustainera Solutions at the Inogen Alliance Associates Bi-Annual Meeting in Dubai! From October 21-23, our team gathered with global associates from 39 Associate companies, representing 34 countries for the Inogen Alliance Associates Bi-Annual Meeting. Over three days, we engaged in strategic planning on Middle Eastern market trends, tackled business development challenges, explored resilience and growth strategies for EHS&S markets, and concluded with a collaborative workshop aimed at sustainable growth, uniting around a shared vision for the coming decade. Also, Sustainera briefed on the planning and discussions for the events to be co-organized with Inogen at #COP29. This meeting highlighted the importance of global collaboration and strategic planning to tackle emerging sustainability challenges. We’re excited to apply these insights to enhance our impact and support our clients more effectively!
