What does it truly mean to own a product and experience the passion of a new release? It’s 21:00, the team gathers for a mandatory coffee and drinks, chatting about the work they plan to do in the next couple of hours. The atmosphere is relaxed, but you can sense the silent excitement and anticipation. For months, together, they have been building a new product, and tonight is the night of the release. The anxiety grows; they hope it will be a smooth release worthy of celebration. But, with new products and thousands of variables in production, you never know. At 22:00, they all gather in the office and begin the procedure of releasing to production. Everyone knows their role; they’ve all participated and know the product inside and out. As a team, they follow the plan and all the steps and processes they’ve rehearsed so many times. The initial results look promising! Everything seems stable. The product is running as intended. The load is OK, the Helpdesk is silent, and there are no incoming calls from clients. A sigh of relief and growing excitement—but the work is not done. They all stand by and monitor the systems, reconfigure what is necessary, and continue until 02:00 when they can finally confirm: It’s a success! They picked the late hours for release to minimize the chance of impact on clients in case something fails. All organized by themselves. No management push, no interventions. Just pure passion and standing up for what they believe in. As a product company, there is no better feeling than releasing a product to production. Time and time again, thank you to all the NSofters for your dedication and for making us proud by creating and owning the best products out there. PS.
