  • Fantastic to welcome Andrea Di Carlo, the Deputy Executive Director of the EUIPO - European Union Intellectual Property Office. Maintaining our close relationship with the EUIPO is so important to all European brand holders: no trade mark, no brand and no IPR, no possibility to take enforcement action to protect our consumers, competitiveness and innovations against the IP criminal. Huge thanks to all in AIM’s Trade Mark and Anti-Counterfeiting Committees for your unwavering dedication, and of course to Andrea for joining us for such fascinating debates!

Senior Manager, Trade Marks and Brand Protection at AIM - European Brands Association

Proof positive that I trained in law and not comms – we were so incredibly happy to welcome Andrea Di Carlo back to AIM - European Brands Association, and so interested in the wide-ranging debates he held with our members, that we completely forgot to take photos. From all in our Trade Mark and Anti-Counterfeiting Committees, thank you, Mr Deputy Executive Director of the EUIPO - European Union Intellectual Property Office! With discussions ranging from TM filing procedures via the many essential ways the EUIPO cooperates with its User Associations, through to the practical, vital IP enforcement work of the Observatory, believe me – you all would have been fascinated too. Great also to see Arūnas Želvys, the EUIPO's man on the ground in Brussels. Especial thanks from our Chairs, Mette M. Andersen, Nathalie Luis, Joeri Mombers & Jenny Barker. You have a standing invitation to AIM, Andrea, and next time I promise to remember the camera 😉. Thank you!
