#BESIXupdate • Our colleagues in Australia are going strong! 🤩💪 ✈️ In northern Adelaide, BESIX Watpac has made major strides on the Deep Maintenance and Modification Facility, featuring a four-bay aircraft hangar for the specialised maintenance of military aircraft of the Royal Australian Air Force. 🏗️ The structural steel installation for the first hangar is now complete, with the second hangar on track for completion later this month. #BESIXNewProject • BESIX and STADSBADER CONTRACTORS NV have been awarded the construction of a new tram and bicycle viaduct over the Brussels Ring Road 🇧🇪! 🤝🎉 🚆 The viaduct is part of the #Luchthaventram project, a 12 km tramline connecting Brussels North station to Brussels Airport. #BESIXmilestone • A major step forward for Rail Baltica 🇱🇻! 🚆🌉 As part of the BERERIX consortium, BESIX has successfully completed the first phase of the new railway bridge over the Daugava River in Riga. This phase saw the first-ever use of the balanced cantilever method in the Baltics, delivering a 140-metre span with no additional supports. We see the foundation of the #Scheldt Tunnel's entrance on #Antwerp’s Right Bank! 🤩 As a crucial part of the #Oosterweel link, the Scheldt Tunnel will close the Antwerp Ring Road in the north. The tunnel elements are currently being finalised in #Zeebrugge. #BESIXmilestone • Green light for Aquafin’s sludge mono-processor in the port of Ghent 🇧🇪! 🤩 🙌 Yesterday, the #FOSTER consortium, consisting of BESIX and Indaver, kicked off construction of this state-of-the-art facility, which will recover energy ⚡️ from the wastewater treatment sludge ♻️ of 4 million residents. 🏗️ Located on the ArcelorMittal premises, works started 4 months ago, with the first phase of the preparatory civil works to be completed next month. The entire construction will be finished in less than 2 years. 🤝 Together, BESIX and Indaver are responsible for the design, build, financing, and 20-year of operations and maintenance of this advanced plant, which will reduce emissions by 28,000 tonnes CO2-eq. #BESIXmilestone • Construction of the Hyoffwind green hydrogen production facility in Zeebrugge 🇧🇪 has officially started! 🤩 🙌 Last Tuesday, BESIX, BESIX Environment N.V. and John Cockerill  proudly launched construction of the project in the presence of Flemish Minister-President Matthias Diependaele! ⚡ The facility will convert renewable electricity from local wind parks into green hydrogen. Starting with a 25 MW capacity, scalable up to 100 MW, it aims to reduce CO₂ emissions by 25,000 tonnes annually. 🏗️ As a first-class industrial partner, BESIX is proud to bring its knowhow in the realisation of complex industrial projects, complemented by BESIX Environment N.V.'s electromechanical expertise.
