🔎On the Field: On March 29th, the Executive Master in Sustainability Transformation participants embarked on an enlightening field visit to BIGH, a pioneer network of sustainable aquaponic farms. This visit was a deep dive into environmental sustainability, offering us a firsthand look at how Bigh is tackling current environmental challenges through innovative farming techniques. Our introduction to aquaponics was particularly interesting, showcasing a sustainable system where aquaculture and hydroponics work together to produce food more efficiently. ✅ During the visit, we also observed Bigh's outdoor garden where their two beehives are located. Although direct access to the greenhouses and the fish farm was restricted for biosecurity reasons, viewing these operations through glass windows gave us a clear view of the sustainable practices for growing fruits, vegetables, and fish!
