🚲 Earlier this month, we had a fantastic time at the EUROBIKE Show in Frankfurt. Christopher Fietzek, Sales Engineering Manager at Panasonic Industry Europe, participated in a panel discussion on "The Impact of the EU Batteries Regulation on the Cycling Industry" with other industry representatives, sharing valuable insights on navigating these new regulations. Christopher represents Panasonic in the RECHARGE association group and CENELEC/DKE standardization committees, and leads the EU battery regulation project for Panasonic at the European level. After Daniela Leveratto from Confederation of the European Bicycle Industry - CONEBI introduced the EU’s Batteries Regulation in her keynote speech, an insightful discussion with industry representatives followed. They explored the technical impact and collaborative opportunities of the new regulation. 🌍 The World Bicycle Industry Association (WBIA) concluded its annual General Assembly last week at the 2024 EUROBIKE show. The General Assembly saw active participation from representatives of WBIA’s member associations, including: ✅ Confederation of the European Bicycle Industry (CONEBI)  ✅ Taiwan Bicycle Association (TBA)  ✅ Bicycle Association Japan (BAJ)  ✅ All India Cycle Manufacturers’ Association (AICMA)  ✅ PeopleForBikes (USA) ♻️ The WBIA remains focused on promoting sustainability initiatives for global supply chains, including the recently launched WBIA Sustainable Supply Chain project (SSC), which is based on the WBIA's 10 Sustainable Supply Chain Principles.
