Digestive Cancers Europe is the umbrella organisation of national Members representing patients with digestive cancer.
About us
Digestive Cancer Europe (DiCE) is a non-profit umbrella organisation that unites 40 Member organisations from around Europe. Over the last two decades, Digestive Cancers Europe, previously known as EuropaColon, made remarkable contributions to improving early detection, survival rates, and quality of life for patients and carers across Europe. Over this period of time, the organisation has been at the forefront of the annual Colorectal Cancer awareness raising campaign every March and working with relevant stakeholders to enable all European citizens to have access to Colorectal Cancer screening. Digestive Cancers Europe is involved in several major European research projects aiming to improve digestive cancer patients' early diagnosis and treatment. Working together with the large network of patients and carers, the organisation is empowering the digestive cancer community in Europe and developing creative solutions to support them through their journey.

Biosimilars are crucial for promoting equitable access to vital treatments. The Making Access Happen Consensus Statement from the Sandoz Global Access Forum 2024, which I am proud to have contributed to as a co-chair, not only highlights this but also underscores the power of multi-stakeholder collaboration. By uniting patient organisations, healthcare providers, policymakers, and the pharmaceutical industry, we can significantly improve access to medicines. 🧐 Did you know? A diet rich in fibre is essential for maintaining a healthy stomach. Fibre helps keep your digestive system running smoothly and can reduce the risk of gastric issues, including cancer. 😀Fibre promotes digestion, helping with bowel movements and preventing constipation. Also, it reduces inflammation of the stomach lining. 🫘Where can you find rich in fibre food? Fruits (apples and berries), vegetables (carrots and broccoli), whole grains (brown rice and whole wheat products), and legumes (beans and lentils). 🩺 Incorporating more fibre into your diet is a simple yet powerful way to support your stomach health and reduce the risk of serious conditions. #GastricCancer #GastricCancerAwareness #GastricMucosa #ChronicInflammation #AIDAEU #EU4Health #GastricCancerPrevention #AI #AIInHealthcare #AIDAEU #AIDAEUProject #GastricInflammation

Digestive cancers were once considered a concern mainly for older adults, but recent data reveals a troubling rise in early-onset cases. Over the past 30 years, colorectal, gastric, pancreatic, and biliary tract cancers have significantly increased in younger populations, signaling the need for greater awareness and proactive health measures. PCE supports ENTERO 2024, an International Conference addressing these issues.
