Can the 🆕 European Commission keep up with #electricity demand? ⚡ In 1⃣0⃣0⃣ days, electricity travels at roughly 270,000 km/s depending on the conductor, and a total distance of 2,246,400,000 km, which is the equivalent of: 🌍 56,050 trips around the Earth’s circumference. 🌑 2,921 round trips from the Earth to the Moon. ☀ 7.5 roundtrips from the Earth to the sun! Eurelectric's President and CEO of E.ON, Leo Birnbaum has crunched the numbers on the forecasted rate of #electrification until 2030, and the results are eye-opening:   💡 To keep up with the surge of new #electric solutions requesting grid connections, for E.ON one connection needs to be made every seven seconds of the working day from now until 2030 in Germany alone.   In just 100 days, that's roughly 294,000 connections.
