European Network Against Racism Aisbl (ENAR)
Non-profit Organization Management
The voice of anti-racism in Europe
About us
ENAR is the only pan-European anti-racism network that combines advocacy for racial equality and facilitating cooperation among civil society anti-racism actors in Europe. The organisation was set up in 1998 by grassroots activists on a mission to achieve legal changes at European level and make decisive progress towards racial equality in all EU Member States. Since then, ENAR has grown and achieved a great deal. Our mission is to achieve full equality, solidarity and well-being for all in Europe. We want to allow all members of society, whatever their skin colour, ethnicity, sex, gender, religion, disability, age or sexual orientation, to participate and be included in society. Our take on this? We combat racism and discrimination based on colour, ethnicity, national origin, nationality, religion, culture, language or legal status. We envision a vibrant and inclusive society and economy that embrace equality and diversity and the benefits of a racism-free Europe.

Ending racism is a political choice – it’s time to make it. ⏰ This Anti-Racism and Diversity Week, Human Rights Watch, Amnesty International, and 40+ organisations stand united in our demand for bold action against systemic racism. We call on European leaders to join us in resisting the authoritatian tide and reimagining racial justice in Europe. We believe another Europe is possible. Here's how leaders can help build it: ✅A legal #ban on racial discrimination in law enforcement & migration control. ✅An #intersectional anti-discrimination framework protecting all, including people on the move. ✅A #redirection of EU funds towards social services & a strict non-discrimination conditions for receiving the funds. ✅Strong #participatory models where marginalised communities lead anti-racism policies. ✅ A commitment across EU equality strategies to #uplift racialised communities. 📌 Read our joint statement: https://lnkd.in/eSt9H_UM. 🌐 Join #ARDW25 online for two days of impactful discussions with civil society, policymakers, and leading racial justice voices, joined together to reimagine racial justice in Europe: https://lnkd.in/eNk5AQBc #ReimagineRacialJustice

With USAID scrapped and European national funding drying up, grassroots anti-racism initiatives are struggling to survive. How do we ensure they can?✊🏾 We recently brought out Social Hackers Lab💡 to equip our member organisations with the skills to design, structure, and finance their initiatives, while also exploring EU funding opportunities. Because the reality is stark: #funding is one of the biggest battles ahead for the grassroots anti-racism movement. ❌ With the far-right tide, politically unwelcome work gets defunded: Particularly organisations working on migration and Islamophobia struggle to access funding. 🏛️ Smaller organisations are sidelined: They’re forced to compete with larger ones that often tokenise racialised communities. ⚡ Capacity is stretched thin: Many grassroots groups don’t have the resources to focus on fundraising while also fighting for survival and facing attacks. 💰 Equity costs more: Anti-racism groups prioritise their communities, covering visa fees and ensuring access to mental health support. Yet, these necessary costs make it even harder to secure sufficient funding. #AntiRacism #ProjectManagement #RacialJustice #Grasroots Center for Migration, Gender, and Justice Etudiants Musulmans de France - EMF G.F.C.
