  • 📢 New Publication Available! Back in November, the Global PROMS Initiative held a Plenary Meeting in Baveno in the framework of the 31st Annual Meeting of the European Charcot Foundation. The conversation focused on the growing consensus on the value of Patient-Generated Data in clinical trials and clinical care, highlighting the need to enhance traditional clinical measures with data that quantifies the patient experience. PROMs hold great potential, and the PROMS Initiative aims to redefine the state-of-the-art in identifying and monitoring (“unmasking”) unrecognized progression. This requires close collaboration among clinicians, PwMS (people with multiple sclerosis), and other stakeholders. 👇 Access the full publication to explore all the details of this scientific meeting! #PROMS #PatientReportedOutcomeMeasures #PatientCare #PatientGeneratedData #MultipleSclerosis #MS

📘We are excited to share our latest publication on 'Frontiers in Neurology', “𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗚𝗹𝗼𝗯𝗮𝗹 𝗣𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗲𝗻𝘁-𝗥𝗲𝗽𝗼𝗿𝘁𝗲𝗱 𝗢𝘂𝘁𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗲𝘀 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗠𝘂𝗹𝘁𝗶𝗽𝗹𝗲 𝗦𝗰𝗹𝗲𝗿𝗼𝘀𝗶𝘀 (𝗣𝗥𝗢𝗠𝗦) 𝗜𝗻𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗮𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗲: 𝗕𝗿𝗶𝗱𝗴𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗚𝗮𝗽 𝗕𝗲𝘁𝘄𝗲𝗲𝗻 𝗖𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗶𝗰𝗮𝗹 𝗥𝗲𝘀𝗲𝗮𝗿𝗰𝗵 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗖𝗮𝗿𝗲 – 𝘂𝗽𝗱𝗮𝘁𝗲𝘀 𝗮𝘁 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟯 𝗽𝗹𝗲𝗻𝗮𝗿𝘆 𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗻𝘁” now available for the global community!   This comprehensive work, a collaborative effort led by international experts and PROMS members, highlights the significant progress made by the Initiative in integrating patient-reported outcomes (PROs) into #MS care. Key aspects of the work include:   • 𝗛𝗼𝗹𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗰 𝗔𝗽𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗮𝗰𝗵: By combining subjective PROs with objective clinical metrics, we address the complex variability of MS, aiming to improve prognosis and quality of life for people with MS. • 𝗧𝗲𝗰𝗵𝗻𝗼𝗹𝗼𝗴𝗶𝗰𝗮𝗹 𝗘𝗻𝗮𝗯𝗹𝗲𝗿𝘀: Our initiative prioritizes the adoption of eHealth tools for active and passive PROs’ monitoring in both clinical and research settings. • 𝗣𝗮𝗿𝘁𝗶𝗰𝗶𝗽𝗮𝘁𝗼𝗿𝘆 𝗚𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗿𝗻𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲 & 𝗠𝘂𝗹𝘁𝗶𝗱𝗶𝘀𝗰𝗶𝗽𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗮𝗿𝘆 𝗖𝗼𝗹𝗹𝗮𝗯𝗼𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻: We have established four dedicated working groups focusing on PROMs’ implications on research, clinical management, eHealth, and healthcare policy design.   📖 This paper provides an extensive update on the ongoing efforts of the global PROMS community and a testament to its unwavering dedication to improving MS care. Episode 66 of the international MS-Perspektive #Podcast: Pioneering Paths. Empowering Young Minds in MS & NMO Research with Dr. Sara Samadzadeh #MultipleSclerosis and #NMOSD have made tremendous advances in treatment due to #research conducted over the past decades. Nevertheless, there is still much to be done. It is therefore all the more important that this area of neurology continues to attract young, committed and motivated scientists who contribute their own ideas and network with each other. Sara Samadzadeh is one of these young scientists. As President of the European Charcot Foundation Young Investigators, she promotes initiatives such as women in research and faster diagnosis in #Iran, her home country. She is also an ambassador for The Sumaira Foundation, which campaigns for #NMO and #MOGAD patients. Find out more in the #interview, which is available on all podcast platforms and my blog, where you find the written questions and answers as well: https://lnkd.in/eQMaP3rR Thanks to Gemeinnützige Hertie-Stiftung for supporting the English Podcast.
