#ECTRIMS2024 | Meet the Speakers Join us to hear Professor Frauke Zipp from University Medical Center Mainz discuss her ECTRIMS 2024 presentation, where she will provide an overview of CAR-T therapy in autoimmune diseases. "This concept, originally developed for cancer, is now in the focus in the area of autoimmune diseases. The genetically modified T cells recognise and deplete. For example, CD19 expressing B cells also within tissue so within the brain. 🤔💭 “Thinking back at the years before your MS symptoms began, can you, in hindsight, tell me anything that might have predated them?” When Helen Tremlett, Professor of Neurology at The University of British Columbia posed this question during an MS Society meeting, the room fell silent. Then, one by one, people began to share their stories. 🏥 💊 MS might begin years before the clinical onset. In the five years before MS symptoms become apparent, many people start visiting doctors more often and rely on prescription medications more frequently.
