  • 𝗜𝗻𝘀𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁𝘀 𝗳𝗿𝗼𝗺 𝘀𝘂𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗶𝗻𝗮𝗯𝗹𝗲 𝗶𝗻𝘃𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗳𝗼𝗿𝘂𝗺𝘀 𝗮𝗰𝗿𝗼𝘀𝘀 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗹𝗱 🌍 Last week, Eurosif’s Executive Director Aleksandra Palinska had the opportunity to connect with members of the Global Sustainable Investment Alliance, the umbrella organisation for sustainable investment forums (SIFs) at a meeting in Toronto, Canada. 👥 We are grateful for the chance to exchange experiences with colleagues from Canada (Responsible Investment Association), the US (US SIF), the UK (UKSIF), Japan (JSIF Japan Sustainable Investment Forum) and Australasia (Responsible Investment Association Australasia (RIAA)). 💡 While our different contexts can mean that global trends manifest differently, we shared several key observations: 📍 #SustainableFinance plays an essential role in the transition towards sustainability, but it requires the correct incentives to live up to its potential. 📍 The sustainable finance policy landscape is evolving across the world, which can be a great chance for improvement if the regulation is ambitious and practical. It is vital that the voices of market players that advance sustainability are heard. 📍 For good policies and practices, we must keep in mind that capital markets are global and keep working together towards our shared goal. 🤝 meeting, organised in the margins of the #PRIinPerson, was also a great opportunity to discuss with David Atkin and his colleagues from Principles for Responsible Investment how our organisations can collaborate even better, and increase the collective impact to accelerate a #justtransition to a sustainable economy. 🙏We would like to thank the Responsible Investment Association for hosting us and James Alexander for his excellent leadership.
