Day 1 of the P2P Scalable Cities Roadshow in Barcelona, 27-28 March 2025, on How to deploy innovative financial strategies to unlock private investment for climate transition projects 💡🌍 Yesterday began with a welcome from the Barcelona City Council. GNE Finance introduced the concept of the Scalable Cities Roadshow, delving into the financial tools cities need to drive sustainable projects. Then, city leaders from Barcelona City Council, Bristol City Council, Dijon métropole, stad Leuven, and Lund took the stage to tell their unique stories painting a picture of ambition and challenge—how their cities are crafting legal and financial frameworks to attract investors and make the green transition a reality. 💡 Emilio Miguel Mitre from Urban Climate Economy followed with a powerful session on breaking silos. The session explored the different languages used by the public and private sectors and how we can foster better understanding and collaboration. Then came the first workshop of the day, the Financing Rounds. Three investors, three tables, three groups with three to four cities. At each table, one city had the opportunity to present its project for 30 minutes. Finally, as the day wrapped up,Veronika Cerna from Twenty Communications, Philippe Fournand from Blue-Sight Conseil,Gretel Schaj from BABLE Smart Cities, Emilio Miguel Mitre from Urban Climate Economy, and Mikael Edelstam from Miljöstrategi AB introduced the Climate Cities Impact Investment Fund (CCIIF). The energy was high and the ideas were flowing, and one thing is clear: collaboration is key to financing the future. 🌱 #ScalableCities #ClimateFinance #UrbanInnovation #GreenTransition #SustainableInvestment #Collaboration #PeertoPeer Baptiste Mougeot, LYON CONFLUENCE, Paula Ferrando Julià, Valentina Cabal Jaramillo, GNE Finance, Energy Cities, Stella Archontaki, AIT Austrian Institute of Technology, Ghazal Etminan, Sovantania Kauv, Thomas Fouchault, ASCEND Project, CINEA - European Climate, Infrastructure and Environment Executive Agency, AtelierH2020, ExPEDite project, MAKING-CITY EU, R2M Solution, NEUTRALPATH project, TIPS4PED, POCITYF, Horizon Europe PEDvolution project, Green Deal ARV, InterPED, Horizon Europe PEDvolution project, NetZeroCitiesEU

🚲 The State of European Smart Cities: Mobility Hubs 🚗 How can cities transform urban transportation and promote sustainability? Munich, Germany, offers a groundbreaking example through the SMARTER TOGETHER initiative. In the districts of Neuaubing-Westkreuz/Freiham, eight multimodal Mobility Stations were introduced, integrating public transport with sustainable options like rental bikes and electric cars. The project didn't stop there — neighbourhood boxes for 24-hour deliveries and shared goods also fostered a circular economy. Key aspects of the project: 🔑 Mobility hubs reducing traffic and private car reliance 🚲 Sustainable transport options tailored to individual needs 📦 Neighbourhood boxes supporting delivery and goods-sharing services 🎥 Watch the video to explore how Munich is paving the way for a smarter, greener future 👉 https://lnkd.in/ePkPfEYu #SmartCities #SustainableMobility #Innovation #SmarterTogether #ScalableCities #ElectricCars #SustainableTransport #ClimateNeutality #Multimodal #Munich
