Together with a coalition of independent service providers in the automotive aftermarket, we are urging the European Commission to deliver the already-prepared proposal on access to in-vehicle data, functions, and resources as part of President Ursula von der Leyen first 100 days plan. The proposal was drafted following extensive consultation with relevant stakeholders and was backed by fact-based evidence from several studies led by various DGs, including the Joint Research Centre. It even received a positive opinion issued by the Regulatory Scrutiny Board on its impact assessment. It is essential to promote competition for all stakeholders in the automotive and mobility services market. We are ready to collaborate with EU policymakers to support this critical initiative for competitiveness in the European automotive and mobility sectors. To achieve #VisionZero, mutual responsibility among road users is critical. As drivers, always remember to #DriveWithCare. This year, we highlight the importance of respecting traffic regulations around school zones. Children are vulnerable road users and do not perceive the speed of vehicles the same way as adults. Our latest #RoadSafety campaign highlights the activeness of young children and the shared responsibility between drivers and parents in school zones.
