Greenyard is committed to employee well-being. The Health & Safety Day events at Greenyard Frozen Poland are a great example of this. The programme was extended to two sites after last year's success. At Adamów, people learned first aid, which is useful at work or at home. The second day was held at the Dąbrowa site. It was about staying safe at work. It included: protective equipment, night safety, noise hazards and protection, fire vigilance and a forklift truck driving competition! Our colleagues learned about their own wellbeing and that of the planet, from skin care to ergonomics, personal nutrition and sustainability. This is vital to our pure-plant business, as the vigilance of every colleague contributes to the continuous improvement of safety in the workplace. #Greenyard #ForAHealthierFuture

Six Greenyard Frozen employees in Moréac took part in a 24-hour mountain bike race organised by the Locminé fire brigade. The race benefited two causes. "L'Œuvre des Pupilles" supports the families of firefighters who have lost someone, and "Des Papillons pour Louna" helps Louna, a young girl with a rare genetic disorder. Our cycling colleagues covered 409 km and 91 laps of a challenging course. Greenyard Frozen Moréac is a great example of Greenyard solidarity. These six riders have done more than challenge themselves. They have also made a positive impact on their community. We can't wait to cheer them on next year! #Greenyard #ForAHealthierFuture

Last month, Greenyard Frozen UK took part in Great British Pea Week with our partner, FareShare UK, the UK's largest charity fighting hunger and food waste. The team visited a pea field in the UK during harvest. They met the growers and learned about harvesting pea. They even witnessed the fascinating process first hand with a thrilling ride in a pea harvester! After an exciting morning, the team enjoyed a delicious lunch with peas as the main ingredient. FareShare shared some impressive statistics showing the impact of our collaboration. Last year, Greenyard Frozen UK donated to almost 1,800 charities, providing vegetables to communities across the UK. Great British Pea Week was a great way to celebrate these tasty, healthy pure-plant powerhouses and show our support for FareShare's mission to tackle food poverty in the UK. #Greenyard #ForAHealthierFuture

Greenyard Fresh Spain participated in the 8th congress “Mujer Agro” in Almeria. Greenyard Fresh Spain is always committed to the production and progress of its reference areas, as well as to the population and other social aspects (collaboration with NGOs, etc.). As part of its social and corporate responsibility, they participated in the organisation of the VIII CONGRESS MUJER AGRO, which took place in Almeria on 26 June. The Head of the Food Quality and Safety Department, María Fernanda Campa, took part in a round table discussion at the congress, which focussed on female leadership and talent from a fruit and vegetable growing perspective. Greenyard Fresh Spain is expanding its gender equality plan and its co-responsibility for achieving gender equality. They obtained the seal “Empresa por la Igualdad” – MujerAGRO (“Company for Gender Equality” - MujerAGRO) and also became member of the organisation. This seal recognises and gives visibility to the companies, institutions, cooperatives and agricultural organisations that apply good practices in terms of equality and in favour of real equality within the sector and the agri-food industry as a whole. #Greenyard #ForAHealthierFuture

How can we accelerate the consumption of pure-plant foods and tap into a market with huge growth potential? The good news is that many people are actively seeking healthy alternatives. More than half of European consumers intend to reduce their meat consumption. An even larger group wants to increase their consumption of both unprocessed products and vegetables. Meet Johann Bauer, the visionary behind Bauers Beeradies® in Wollsdorf, Eastern Styria, home to one of Austria's largest strawberry greenhouses. 🍓 Johann's journey began with a dream to extend the enjoyment of Austrian strawberries beyond their traditional season. Johann and his family ensure that each fruit is nurtured to perfection, providing consumers with the finest quality strawberries. The Bauer family has worked with Greenyard for many years. "Their handshake quality and professional partnership has been invaluable to us. Our aim is to produce strawberries out of season so that Austrian customers can enjoy them almost all year round," says Johann. Their cultivation process is meticulous: - Planting: Starts in early August, with flowering at the end of August. - Harvesting: Begins in mid-September and lasts until the end of December. - Resting period: Plants rest for about four weeks in January. - Spring season: Plants wake up in late February, flower in early May and harvest continues until early June. Together with Greenyard, Johann aims to create a healthier future through pure-plant innovation and sustainability. #Greenyard #ForAHealthierFuture
