The recent report coordinated by Mario Draghi, "The future of European competitiveness" contains an in-depth analysis and sound conclusion on the state of European Competitiveness It highlights an uncomfortable truth: Traditional, fossil based energy intensive industries in Europe are structurally noncompetitive. It calls for significant investment and policy action to accelerate the energy transition as a tool for strengthening and saving Europe's industrial base. The report highlights that due to structurally higher prices for energy in the EU, driven by Europe’s lack of natural resources European Industry is falling behind in global competitiveness. In calls for action on multiple levels, across multiple industries to accelerate EU's energy transition, as a European Industrial Policy. The Federation of German Industries (BDI) issued their own report, which reached very similar conclusions. (available here: https://lnkd.in/eeH9vp4d) Hy Legal (SRL) is supporting businesses active in the #hydrogen sector adapt to the regulatory environment and implement their own decarbonisation strategies through the use of renewable and low-carbon hydrogen.
