🔭 Black Holes & Supercomputers: a Glimpse into the Future of Astrophysics What happens if you throw a bucket of plasma into a black hole? 🕳️ For Professor Luciano Rezzolla, Chair of Theoretical Astrophysics at the Institute for Theoretical Physics and the latest PRACE HPC Excellence Award winner, this question led to groundbreaking discoveries in #astrophysics and the first-ever image of a black hole, captured by the Event Horizon Telescope in 2019.
