✈️ Latest news from #SESARJU! On 1 October, Brussels Airport & Belgian ANSP skeyes, launched demonstration flights as part of the HERON project Digital Sky Demonstrator. These flights aim to show how steeper landings can reduce noise, CO2 emissions, & fuel burn. 💯 Co-funded by CINEA - European Climate, Infrastructure and Environment Executive Agency demonstration will be conducted in two phases, with cargo/airlines such as DHL, Brussels Airlines & TUI participating. While urban air mobility #UAM 🚁 and #drones have the potential to transform how we move people and goods, their use raises new challenges. These include safety, noise, visual pollution, and accessibility. Knowing that the large-scale deployment of these aircraft starts with people’s acceptance of them, the ImAFUSA project is using mathematical formulas, algorithms, and surveys to measure and quantify UAM’s societal impact. This information will allow stakeholders to make more informed, responsible, sustainable and socially accepted decisions. The project recently held a research event in Athens. 🎯Today, we gladly hosted the SESAR 3 TBO Projects Coordination activity! This event focused on enhancing collaboration across our Trajectory Based Operations #TBO projects, fostering a strong sense of community, and ensuring alignment to drive continuous progress toward the #ATMMasterPlan. ✈️🌍 🔍 Key objectives: • Strengthen collaboration and awareness across SESAR 3 TBO projects. 🤝 • Identify program-level risks for TBO industrialization and share best practices in regulation and standardization. 📈 • Assess coordination needs with key stakeholders (international coordination, EASA - European Union Aviation Safety Agency, European ATM Standards Coordination Group, Public Service Obligations, Airspace Users) and develop effective communication strategies. 📣 • Exchange ideas on presenting results in a way that maximizes transparency and value for end users. 💡 • Share lessons learned and provide input for future TBO project calls. 📚   A big thank you to all participants from SESAR3 ATC-TBO - SESAR 3 Network Trajectory Based Operations (TBO) Project - GALAAD - DYN-MARS SESAR3 Project - SESAR 3 FCA - HERON project - #GEESE projects for contributing to the future of European air traffic innovation! 🌍✈️ 👏Thank you also to all my colleagues Paul DUNKLEY Quintain McEnteggart Luisa, Dorianna B. In the future, the airspace will include new types of air vehicles capable of flying much higher than today’s aircraft ✈️ - creating new challenges for #ATM 🎧. The good news is that ECHO 2 is already taking steps to prepare for this future.
