🌟SIRIUS 3.0 Project🌟 As promised, the Report of the #2 SIRIUS 3.0 PLA held in Estonia is now available here 👉https://shorturl.at/f52iB The second PLA held in Pärnu was all about non-formal education and our partners at Praxis made sure we could experience examples of its successful integration firsthand! Through interviewing staff of the Paikuse Kool and the Pärnu Kuninga Tänava Põhikool, visiting the Pernova Loodusmaja and speaking with the government officials of the city of Pärnu, we learned all about how integrated non-formal education can benefit migrant learners. The report is authored by our partners at University of Lapland and Multi Kulti Collective, who have made sure to bring you all the most important takeaways about the benefits of integrating non-formal education; while showcasing Estonia’s specific context and the schools we’ve had the pleasure of visiting. 👉Report available here: https://shorturl.at/f52iB

🌟SIRIUS 3.0 News🌟 We’re very excited to present you with the SIRIUS 3.0 PLA Report #1! 👉 https://shorturl.at/N0MCT Back in April, SIRIUS members and project partners met up in Barcelona to discuss the topic of intercultural education and the issue of discrimination experienced by migrant learners in that context. We were kindly hosted by the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona who took great care to introduce us to prime examples of the integration of migrant youth in education, the work place and society in general such as Mescladis, Superacció and Centre Cívic Besòs i el Maresme. Our partners from New Communities Partnership (NCP) and Hellenic Open University have compiled all the findings and devised key recommendations on intercultural education, prevention of discrimination and protection of the health and well-being of migrant learners. These recommendations, along with a summary of the PLA can all be found in the #PLAReport! 👉 Read the report and learn all about it here: https://shorturl.at/N0MCT The #PLAReport #2: Estonia coming soon!!

⭐SIRIUS 3.0⭐ ℹ️ This is the second time project partners and SIRIUS network members have met with the aim to explore ways in which education policy can be improved to accommodate migrant learners. Let us tell you about our time at #PLAPärnu! ℹ️ On the first day, our hosts and organizers at @Praxis prepared a visit to the Pernova Hariduskeskus - Motokrossi ring, one of many centers for non-formal education where children from all over Pärnu can come to learn about natural phenomena. Check out Pernova Education Center and their programs! ℹ️ There, Praxis presented the findings of their research project analysing the challenges to full integration of formal and non-formal education in Estonia. Later, stakeholders from different institutions in Pärnu gathered to present the PÖK program – “the city of Pärnu as a learning center”. The program has resulted in the formation of a network of over 30 different institutions ranging from schools and kindergartens to universities and local government offices, all with the goal of streamlining the integration of FE and NFE. 👏 Thank you, Vivre, Jana, Maarja, Kadri, Halliki and Aive for showing us that it’s possible! ℹ️ Later, we had the opportunity to see how the successful partnership of two schools, the Pärnu Kuninga Basic School and the. Pärnu School of the Arts resulted in a happier and more productive school community. Also, as you can see by the photos, friendships were formed over mutual love for music. Check it out!
