🔹 R&I as a Key Factor for Industrial Transformation Shaping the Future of European Innovation – Towards FP10 🔹 Yesterday, we had the honor of being welcomed at the European Parliament by MEP Lina Gálvez Muñoz to discuss the upcoming 10th Framework Programme for Research & Innovation (FP10). Together with key MEPs as Oihane Agirregoitia Martinez Elena Sancho Murillo the Secretary General for Innovation in Spain Teresa Riesgo, the chair of the Horizon Europe expert group Manuel Heitor Manuel Heitor and major stakeholders of the European Commission Ioannis Sagias Mikel Landabaso, associations leaded by Orla Feely - CESAER, Lidia Borrell-Damian - Science Europe, and the industry Eduardo Beltrán de Nanclares - MONDRAGON Corporation Emilie Mercier - EDF we gathered over 160 participants to take meaningful steps towards strengthening Europe’s competitiveness and bridging the gap between fundamental science, industrial R&D, and innovation-driven growth. We had a great moderation of the round tables by our CEO Erik Zabala Versteeg & Alessandro Provaggi At Zabala Innovation, we have been actively engaged since the very first Framework Programme. Now, we have a unique opportunity to build momentum for an ambitious FP10—one that could mark a historic leap forward for European innovation. This is just the beginning! 🧭 The European Commission has today presented the Competitiveness Compass, a plan aimed at strengthening the European Union's position against global powers like the United States and China. The President of the Commission, Ursula von der Leyen, along with Vice President Stephane Sejourné, have unveiled this new roadmap, which will define the EU's strategic priorities during the current legislative term.
