Por isso, demos mais um importante passo ao assinarmos um contrato com a Aegea Saneamento, que nos fornecerá água de reúso proveniente do esgoto da população para abastecer 100% da nossa operação industrial em Duque de Caxias (RJ), garantindo segurança hídrica para nossa produção na localidade. Para viabilizar o projeto, a Aegea, por meio da Águas do Rio, antecipará em três anos a chegada do saneamento básico para mais de 260 mil caxienses. O meio ambiente também se beneficiará: ao reutilizarmos o esgoto da população em nossa produção, colaboramos com o ecossistema do rio Guandu, principal manancial da região metropolitana no Estado do Rio, e contribuímos para o plano de recuperação ambiental da Baía de Guanabara – um compromisso assumido pela Águas do Rio com o Estado do RJ. Essa importante notícia foi celebrada em evento realizado na última semana na sede da ASSECAMPE, em Duque de Caxias, que contou com a presença de autoridades locais e integrantes da Braskem e da Aegea. Estamos orgulhosos de mais esse avanço, que reforça nosso compromisso com a competitividade, inovação e sustentabilidade.
