These stories highlight the human impact behind these initiatives. 🧑💻Today, we introduce you to Qi Zong, a 52-year-old retired Chinese soldier who returned to his village to farm after years of service. Struggling with low yields and limited resources, he joined a government agricultural insurance programme for veterans in 2023. The subsidy allowed him to invest in better seeds, equipment, and fertilizers, leading to a significant increase in crop production. His success inspired other local farmers and veterans to join the programme. ✍️ This post is contributed by our 2024 Ambassador, XINNAN HUANG. Xinnan is currently based in China.
