Great article in EnergyNow.ca today highlighting the fantastic progress the oil & gas industry is making in proactively decommissioning and reclaiming the inactive inventory in Western Canada. For the 2nd year in a row, oil & gas operators have spent more than required on closure activities, based on their mandatory spends. In 2023, $923 million was spent on closure activities (surpassing the mandatory spend by 22%), and 2024 is on track to exceed the industry mandatory spend of $700 million. Today, we’re highlighting Luke Pulford, who brought his quiet determination and passion for cycling to his first season with the team. Luke made a strong debut this year, kicking off the season with a podium finish at the Salty Dog mountain bike race. He has put in a lot of hours staying dedicated to his training program, balancing new responsibilities within the team, and learning race tactics at an elite level. Luke may be reserved, but his passion is undeniable—and it certainly caught the attention of 360’s CEO, Ryan Smith, who was not only impressed by Luke’s commitment, but also by his signature mullet. Luke proudly represents 360’s Mullets for Mental Health campaign on behalf of the entire Bike Shop Racing team. As he continues to develop through the elite men’s cyclocross field, Luke is already planning to focus on road cycling in 2025, and we’re excited to see what’s ahead for him! Today, we’re highlighting Colton Zabolotney, whose grit and determination defined his race season. Here’s what Colton had to say about the highlight of his season: “One of the most defining moments of my season came at the Category 1/2 Wix Brown Circuit Race in Vancouver. The race started with an intense pace, and about 4 minutes in, I was dropped from the peloton. I spent the remaining 97 km riding solo while the Cat 1/2 group lapped me twice. Despite the tough and humbling experience, finishing that race was the proudest moment of my season. The very next day, I pulled together a much stronger performance, finishing mid-pack—a result that felt even more rewarding after overcoming the challenges of the previous day.” His determination was further tested at the 2024 Canadian Gravel Championships in Water Valley, AB, where he braved brutal conditions of heavy rain and freezing temperatures to win the Junior (17-18) Men’s Championship.
