At the heart of the Shrimad Rajchandra Mission, located at the Dharampur ashram in India is a 5,000-seat auditorium equipped with Adamson’s E12 line array and IS7p frontfill speakers, providing exceptional speech and sound clarity for live discourses, concerts and festivals. Designed to resemble a glowing lantern, the complex can accommodate up to 10,000 visitors at peak capacity. Its centerpiece is the 5,000-seat Raj Sabhagruh Satsang and Meditation Center, where Adamson’s E-Series and IS-Series speakers delivered perfect speech clarity for live discourses and festivals. The system consisted of 27x E12’s, 12x E219’s, 8x IS7px for front fills, and 12x IS7px for under the balcony.
Adamson's Carlos Sallaberry, Education and Application Support Engineer APAC, has been instrumental in coordinating the audio setup, ensuring that the sound system is both effective and unobtrusive. Trustee Raman Tikka who has been involved with the Shrimad Rajchandra Mission since 2001 and was selected to oversee the development, remarked “The audio team has done a fantastic job, going out of their way to provide us with astounding sound while following the architect’s instructions to ensure all the speakers are hidden,” shares Tikka. “Visitors have remarked that no matter where they sit, the clarity is excellent, and they can hear the discourse perfectly. This is crucial when you’re receiving spiritual instruction.”
Andy Munro, along with Kapil Thirwani’s team from Munro Acoustics India, overcame the acoustic challenges posed by the circular auditorium and meditation chamber above. Working closely with Kapil Gupta from Serie Architects, they installed Munro diffusors and a ceiling membrane trap under the stunning inverted lotus ceiling. AV integration was masterfully handled by ISSPL, completing this long-awaited venue.
