Ontario Needs to Share Forest Sector Benefits Equitably with First Nations A recent article in Wood Business highlights the need for Ontario to share the benefits of the forest sector more equitably with First Nations. The article quotes Anishnawbe Business Professional Association (Northern Ontario) representative Jason Rasevych who states, "We need to create a more inclusive and equitable forest sector that recognizes and respects First Nations rights and knowledge." This includes: - Increasing Indigenous participation in forest management and decision-making. -Providing greater access to capital and resources for Indigenous-owned businesses.
