CCIB is pleased to announce the newest additions to its Board of Directors: Michael Hungerford, Lisa Isaac, CHRL, CHRP and Jeff G. Provost. Michael has 20 years of experience in real estate investment, management and development and is a Partner with Hungerford Properties and Seven Generations Capital. Lisa is the owner and Senior HR Consultant at Lisa Isaac HR Professional Services, with extensive experience as a Certified Human Resources Professional (CHRP) and Certified Human Resources Leader (CHRL). Jeff has over 25 years of experience in Indigenous Relations working with First Nation, Métis, and Inuit groups across Canada and is currently Leader, Indigenous Relations, MCW Group of Companies. There's less than two days left to apply for CCIB's Indigenous Business Defence Sector Accelerator program. The program provides opportunities for Indigenous businesses in Canada, which are traditionally underrepresented in supply chains, to engage with defence industry suppliers. This program is supported by Dynamics' three business units: General Dynamics Land Systems, General Dynamics Mission Systems, and General Dynamics Ordnance and Tactical Systems. Calling all Indigenous entrepreneurs under 35! CCIB is still accepting applications for the Young Indigenous Business Grant, which provides successful applicants with a $2,500 grant plus a one-year CCIB membership. Apply now, the deadline for submissions is July 25, 2024, at 5 p.m. EST. Recipients will be selected from a Live Draw event on Aug. 22, 2024. The Young Indigenous Business Grant is presented by Loblaw Companies Limited with contributions from Apex Distribution Inc., CIBC and EY.
